Who i am
I’m Miguel Sousa a multidisciplinary conceptual designer, art director and illustrator currently working as a global design director. I’ve spent the last decade harnessing systematic creative thinking to craft visuals to help brands create iconic, disruptive, and award-winning work.
What I do
I am both a hands-on designer and creative art director, helping guide the creative direction for multiple projects across the agency most iconic brands, such as KFC and IKEA and recently Doritos and Stella Artois. I’m also an illustrator that can adapt the style to better answer the brand’s needs. You also can find me running around the streets and parks of London.
What I did
After a degree in graphic design and a master's in illustration and animation, he created heymikel studio, freelancing for several small clients. After some years I start my journey in advertising as an art director in Lola mullen lowe in Madrid, proceed to Saatchi and Saatchi and actual Mother London. My work has been recognized by different awards and countries, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Creative Circle, Effies, amongst others.
